Galaxy Z Fold7 WALLPAPERS

Galaxy Z Fold7 wallpaper size — inner 1968×2184, cover 1080×2520, and how wallpapers crop

The Galaxy Z Fold7 has two screens: a 6.5" cover screen (1080×2520, about 422 ppi) and a 8.0" inner screen (1968×2184, about 367 ppi). The inner screen's width-to-height ratio is about 0.90, close to a square, so a tall 9:16 wallpaper used as-is loses 481px at the top and bottom (38% of the height). On the cover screen it loses 171px on each side (24% of the width). This page collects wallpapers with little tonal variation, measured so the look survives the crop, and every wallpaper page previews the exact crop for both screens. Inner-screen figures are for the opened phone held upright.

The inner screen crops the top and bottom

Fitted to the inner screen (1968×2184), a 9:16 wallpaper is enlarged to fill the width and 38% of its height falls off the top and bottom. Landscapes split between sky and ground lose exactly those parts; photos with the subject in the middle are fine. To fill the 1968px width, a 1080-wide wallpaper is scaled about 1.8× and a 1440-wide one about 1.4×, so prefer 1440×2560 for the inner screen. 1242×2688 is even taller and loses more.

How the cover screen crops

The cover screen (1080×2520) is a tall phone-like screen, and a 9:16 wallpaper loses 171px on each side (24% of the width). The clock sits at the top, so if the cover screen is your lock screen, combine this page with the "Clock stays readable" collection. You can set different wallpapers for the inner and cover screens.

How this list is selected (the measurement)

This list is built mechanically: wallpapers whose overall brightness varies little (a standard deviation under 45) and that come in 9:16, sorted by least variation first. Low variation means the impression barely changes wherever you cut. Galaxy lets you set separate wallpapers for the inner and cover screens in "Wallpaper & style" and adjust the crop position. To see the exact crop for any wallpaper, pick "Galaxy Z Fold7 inner" or "Galaxy Z Fold7 outer" in the device selector on its page.

Frequently asked questions

What wallpaper size (resolution) does the Galaxy Z Fold7 use?

The inner screen is 1968×2184 pixels (8.0") and the cover screen is 1080×2520 pixels (6.5"), held upright. For the inner screen, an image at least 1968px wide will not look blurry.

How much of a 9:16 wallpaper is cropped on the Galaxy Z Fold7's inner screen?

The inner screen is close to square, so a 9:16 wallpaper loses 481px at the top and bottom (38% of the height). On the cover screen it loses 171px on each side (24% of the width).

Can I use different wallpapers on the inner and cover screens?

Yes. "Wallpaper & style" lets you pick an image for each screen. The inner screen is nearly square, so choose wallpapers with the subject in the middle; the cover screen is tall, so pick it like a regular phone wallpaper.
