License
There are two kinds of wallpapers on Drift Wallpapers. Both are free to use as a wallpaper on your own phone, tablet or computer.
1. Library wallpapers (pages without a source line)
What you can do
- Set any wallpaper on your lock screen or home screen.
- Use it on as many of your own devices as you like.
- Share screenshots of your screen that happen to include the wallpaper.
What you cannot do
- Redistribute the image files themselves — on other wallpaper sites, in asset packs, apps or file-sharing services.
- Sell the images or include them in products for sale.
- Present the images as your own work.
No attribution is required for personal use. These wallpapers are produced and curated by Drift Wallpapers from an image library we hold the rights to distribute.
2. Works from public archives (pages with an artist, source and license line)
These works follow their own licenses, shown on each page. We crop them to 9:16 and resize them (one photograph is also rotated); we add nothing else.
- CC BY 4.0 (for example ESA/Hubble): free to use and share, provided you give the credit exactly as shown on the page, link to the license and note that the image has been modified (cropped).
- CC0 (museums): no restrictions. Crediting the museum is optional.
- Public domain (NASA): free to use, but not in a way that suggests NASA endorses you or your use (NASA media guidelines).
