Wallpapers for iPhone Duo — measured for the inner and outer screens
iPhone Duo has two screens: a 5.4-inch outer display (1398×2034) and a 7.6-inch inner display (1878×2670). The inner screen is roughly 1:1.42 — much closer to a square than any previous iPhone (about 9:19.5). Used as-is, a tall wallpaper loses about 20% of its height on the inner screen (10% top and bottom) and about 18% on the outer one. This page collects wallpapers with enough quiet space that the composition survives that crop — measured, not guessed — and every wallpaper page lets you preview the exact crop for both screens.

What gets cropped on the inner screen
Our wallpapers come in two shapes: 9:16 (1080×1920 and 1440×2560) and 1242×2688. Fitted to the inner screen (1:1.42), a 9:16 wallpaper loses about 20% of its height top and bottom; a 1242×2688 one loses about 34%. Photos with the subject in the middle are fine, but landscapes split between sky and ground lose exactly those parts. The list below is filtered by measurement to wallpapers with little tonal variation, whose look does not change when the top and bottom are cut. These figures are for holding the opened Duo upright (1878 wide × 2670 tall). Opened normally, the inner screen is landscape (2670 × 1878); filling it with a 9:16 wallpaper would, by the numbers, push about 60% of the height off screen.
The outer screen crops top and bottom
The outer screen (1398×2034) has a ratio of about 1:1.455. On an iPhone 18 Pro (1206×2622) a wallpaper loses about 18% of its width at the sides; on the Duo's outer screen the crop flips to the top and bottom — a 9:16 wallpaper loses about 18% of its height (9% at each end). The clock still sits at the top, so for the lock screen combine this page with the "Clock stays readable" collection.
How this list is selected (the measurement)
This list is built mechanically: wallpapers whose overall brightness varies little (a standard deviation under 45) and that come in 9:16 (1080×1920 or 1440×2560). The 1440×2560 wallpapers come first because they are enlarged less on the inner screen: to fill its 1,878 px width, a 1080-wide image is scaled about 1.7×, a 1440-wide one about 1.3×. Low variation means the impression barely changes wherever you cut. 1242×2688 wallpapers are left out because they lose about 34% of their height on the inner screen. To see the exact crop for any wallpaper, pick "iPhone Duo inner" or "iPhone Duo outer" in the device selector on its page.
