Android Wallpapers (Free, HD)
Free 9:16 HD wallpapers for your Android home screen and lock screen. Drift across a map where wallpapers with a similar mood sit side by side, and follow the vibe until you find yours. Currently 1,050+ wallpapers and counting — all of them work on Android.
How to set a wallpaper on Android
Open "Download HD" on any wallpaper page and long-press the image to save it. Then long-press an empty spot on your home screen, open "Wallpaper & style" and choose the saved image for your home and lock screens. Many phones can also auto-adjust blur and darkness to match the wallpaper.
Material You and your wallpaper
Since Android 12, your system accent colors are generated from your wallpaper — the palette of the image becomes the palette of your whole phone. All wallpapers here are tagged by 13 colors, so if you already know the color you want your phone to be, start from the color list and your theme will follow.
Wallpapers that live well with widgets
Android home screens often carry large clock or weather widgets. Wallpapers with calm areas of color read much cleaner under widgets than busy all-over patterns. On the map, similar wallpapers are neighbors — start from one that fits your widgets and drift around it.
Wallpaper sizes for Galaxy and Pixel phones
These are the native portrait resolutions of popular Android phones. Our wallpapers come at 1080×1920, 1242×2688 or 1440×2560 depending on the image. Today's Android screens are taller than 9:16, so a 9:16 wallpaper is scaled up and loses about 18–21% of its width.

|---|---|---|---|
| Galaxy S26 Ultra | 6.9" | 1440 × 3120 | 18% of the width |

Wallpaper sizes for foldable phones (cover and inner screens)
Foldables have two very differently shaped screens. The inner screen is close to square, so a 9:16 wallpaper loses a lot of its height there. Inner-screen figures are for the opened phone held upright.
| Model | Cover screen | Inner screen |
|---|---|---|
| Pixel 11 Pro Fold | 6.5" 1080 × 2342 — 18% of the width | 8" 2076 × 2152 — 42% of the height |
| Pixel 10 Pro Fold | 6.4" 1080 × 2364 — 19% of the width | 8" 2076 × 2152 — 42% of the height |
| Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra | 6.5" 1080 × 2520 — 24% of the width | 8.0" 2256 × 2504 — 38% of the height |
| Galaxy Z Fold8 | 5.5" 1248 × 1972 — 11% of the height | 7.6" 1848 × 2448 — 25% of the height |
| Galaxy Z Flip8 | 4.1" 948 × 1048 — 38% of the height | 6.9" 1080 × 2520 — 24% of the width |
| Galaxy Z Fold7 | 6.5" 1080 × 2520 — 24% of the width | 8.0" 1968 × 2184 — 38% of the height |
| Galaxy Z Flip7 | 4.1" 948 × 1048 — 38% of the height | 6.9" 1080 × 2520 — 24% of the width |
Resolutions checked against Google's and Samsung's official specs (as of October 23, 2026). The crop is calculated for a 9:16 wallpaper filling the screen.
Frequently asked questions
What wallpaper size (resolution) does the Galaxy S26 series use?
Galaxy S26 Ultra and Galaxy S26+ are 1440×3120 pixels and Galaxy S26 is 1080×2340 pixels (portrait). An image at this resolution or larger will not look blurry.
What wallpaper size do Pixel 11 and Pixel 10 use?
Pixel 11, Pixel 10 and Pixel 10a are 1080×2424, Pixel 11 Pro and Pixel 10 Pro are 1280×2856, and Pixel 11 Pro XL and Pixel 10 Pro XL are 1344×2992 pixels.
Does a 9:16 wallpaper get cropped on Android?
Yes. Current Android screens are about 19.5:9 to 20:9, taller than 9:16, so the wallpaper is scaled up and loses about 18–21% of its width. On every wallpaper page you can pick your phone and see the exact crop.
How does a wallpaper look on the inner screen of a foldable?
The inner screen is close to square, so a 9:16 wallpaper loses a lot of its height: about 38% on the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra inner screen (2256×2504) and about 42% on the Pixel 11 Pro Fold inner screen (2076×2152). Wallpapers that survive that crop are collected in "Wallpapers that survive a foldable screen".
Can I use different wallpapers for the home and lock screens?
Yes. Long-press an empty spot on the home screen and open "Wallpaper & style" to set a different image for each screen (the name varies slightly by manufacturer). Both need the same resolution.
