About this wallpaper
An ISS photograph from NASA's image library (iss047e000320, taken 2 March 2016), cropped to 9:16. Black space and the night side of Earth fill most of the frame, a thin green aurora glows along the boundary between them, and stars scatter across the top. With an average brightness of 33 it is among the darkest wallpapers on the site, and nearly half of its pixels are pure black. A public-domain NASA photograph.
On the home screen
Almost the whole frame is dark, so icon labels read anywhere; just keep the aurora band clear.
On the lock screen
The top is black space, so a white clock reads clearly.
Colors and mood
Black and deep navy, with a single line of aurora green.
