About this wallpaper
"Evening Snow at Uchikawa" (1835–36) from Eight Views of Kanazawa, cropped to 9:16 from the Cleveland Museum of Art's impression. Snow-laden pines and thatched houses in the middle, the white inlet and small boats around them, and a gray dusk sky above. White snow and gray sky make up almost everything, with a little pine green and house brown remaining — a sheet of very few colors. The vertical crop takes the center of the landscape original.
On the home screen
The sky at the top is plain gray, so icons grouped there leave the snowy houses visible.
On the lock screen
The top is a fairly light gray sky, so a white clock loses some contrast.
Colors and mood
Almost entirely white and gray, with a little pine green and house brown.
