Evening Snow at Asuka Hill — Hiroshige
"Evening Snow at Asuka Hill" (c. 1837–38) from Hiroshige's Eight Views of the Environs of Edo: Asuka Hill, famous for cherry blossom, shown instead at a snowy dusk. White snow against an ink sky makes a quiet winter wallpaper.

About this wallpaper
"Evening Snow at Asuka Hill" (c. 1837–38) from Eight Views of the Environs of Edo, cropped to 9:16 from the Cleveland Museum of Art's impression. Snow-laden trees and teahouse roofs overlap in the middle of the sheet, with figures on a snowy slope below and a dusk sky sinking into ink above. Falling snow is scattered as white dots across the whole surface, and the color is almost limited to white, gray and ink. The vertical crop takes the center of the landscape original.
On the home screen
The dark sky at the top is nearly plain, so icons grouped there leave the trees and teahouses visible.
On the lock screen
The top is a darkish ink sky, so a white clock reads fairly well.
Colors and mood
White, gray and ink, with a little brown from the teahouses and indigo in the clothing.
