About this wallpaper
"Spring Rain" (1935) from Yoshida Hiroshi's Eight Scenes of Cherry Blossoms, cropped to 9:16 from the Cleveland Museum of Art's impression. Branches of weeping cherry hang in pink bloom across the upper half; the lower half is the pond and bank grasses veiled in rain. Sky and water are gray gradations, and the rain is shown as an overall haze rather than lines. The original is a tall sheet, so the composition is almost intact.
On the home screen
The pond in the lower half is nearly plain, so icons at the bottom leave the blossom visible.
On the lock screen
The top is blossom branches and bright sky, so a white clock is harder to read.
Colors and mood
Gray gradations with the pale pink of the blossom and the green of the bank.
