About this wallpaper
An ISS photograph from NASA's image library (iss062e148363, taken 13 April 2020), cropped to 9:16 around Earth's limb. Night clouds and the thin blue layer of the atmosphere at the bottom, a band of green aurora stretching above them, and black space dotted with stars across the upper half. Nearly 60% of the pixels are pure black, which OLED screens switch off. A public-domain NASA photograph.
On the home screen
With black space across the upper half, icons at the top never fight the background; leave the aurora band below them clear.
On the lock screen
The top is black space with only points of stars, so a white clock reads perfectly.
Colors and mood
Black, with the green of the aurora, the blue of the atmosphere and the gray of the clouds.
