About this wallpaper
Yoshida Hiroshi's woodblock print "Cryptomeria Avenue" (1937), cropped to 9:16 from the Cleveland Museum of Art's impression. Thick cedar trunks rise on both sides of the sheet and small figures walk the road between them. Light from deep in the grove falls on the road and trunks; the top is the deep green of the branches and the bottom the bright brown of sunlit ground. The original is a tall sheet, so the composition is almost intact.
On the home screen
The top is deep green foliage, so icons there keep white labels readable and leave the road and figures below visible.
On the lock screen
The top is medium-bright deep green; a white clock is readable but overlaps the foliage.
Colors and mood
Deep green and brown, with the yellow of dappled light and the white of the figures.
