Galaxy S26+ WALLPAPERS

Galaxy S26+ wallpaper size: 1440×3120 px — what fits and what gets cropped

The Galaxy S26+ has a 1440×3120-pixel screen (6.7", about 513 ppi) with an aspect ratio of roughly 9:19.5. That is taller than a standard 9:16 wallpaper, so when a 9:16 image fills the screen you lose 97px on each side (18% of the width). This page works out how each of our three wallpaper sizes is displayed on this phone, and lists wallpapers chosen by measurement so the lock-screen clock and home-screen icon labels stay readable.

Which wallpaper size to download

To match the Galaxy S26+'s 3120px height, a 1080×1920 wallpaper is scaled 1.63×, a 1440×2560 one 1.22× and a 1242×2688 one 1.16×. At 1.63×, a 1080×1920 wallpaper loses some sharpness up close in fine leaves, text or metallic textures. For images where detail matters, pick 1440×2560 or 1242×2688. For sky, water or a blurred background, 1080×1920 is fine in practice. The 18% side crop of a 9:16 wallpaper happens regardless of resolution; a 1242×2688 wallpaper is close to the screen's shape, so it loses no crop. Every wallpaper page shows the actual size of that image in its specs.

Models with the same screen

The Galaxy S26 Ultra shares the same 1440×3120 screen as the Galaxy S26+, so wallpapers are scaled and cropped identically. A wallpaper chosen for one of them works unchanged on the others.

Home screen, widgets and theme colors

Since Android 12, the system generates accent colors for buttons and notifications from your wallpaper (Material You), so on the Galaxy S26+ the palette of the image becomes the palette of the whole phone. Choosing by color from our 13-color classification keeps everything consistent. Android home screens usually carry large clock or weather widgets, and wallpapers with calm areas of color look much cleaner under them than busy patterns. The list below favors wallpapers that are dark in the bottom quarter, where icon labels sit. To set one, long-press an empty spot on the home screen and open "Wallpaper & style".
