Nagakubo, from the Sixty-Nine Stations of the Kisokaidō — Hiroshige
"Nagakubo" (1835–36) from Hiroshige's Sixty-Nine Stations of the Kisokaidō: travelers crossing a bridge under a full moon, with light on the river. Dark in the lower half, so home-screen icon labels stay readable.

About this wallpaper
"Nagakubo" (1835–36) from Sixty-Nine Stations of the Kisokaidō, cropped to 9:16 from the Cleveland Museum of Art's impression. A full moon and pale night sky at the top, the river and a wooden bridge with walking figures in the middle, and the bank and house roofs filled in with black ink at the bottom. Only the moonlit part is bright; the sheet darkens toward the bottom. The vertical crop takes the center of the landscape original.
On the home screen
The lower half is a field of black ink where icon labels read easily; leave the bridge and moon clear.
On the lock screen
The top is a medium-bright moonlit sky; a white clock is readable but fades over the moon.
Colors and mood
Ink black and gray-blue, with the white of the moon and the brown of the bridge.
