Daytime Manhattan Skyline
An elevated view over Manhattan packs the frame with skyscrapers, the Empire State Building rising at the left with its slim antenna. The distant harbor and a soft overcast sky give the dense city a cool, expansive feel.

About this wallpaper
Hundreds of buildings crowd the middle and lower frame, led by the Empire State Building and a broad flat-roofed tower at center. Water opens up on the right horizon beneath a pale, cloudy blue sky. The high vantage point stresses the sheer density of the grid.
On the home screen
The overcast sky across the upper strip is the calmest zone, so icons placed high avoid covering the towers.
On the lock screen
The upper sky is pale and cloudy, so a white clock tends to wash out and a dark one reads better.
Colors and mood
Cool blues and slate grays from the buildings meet a muted blue-gray sky, giving a restrained metropolitan mood.
