About this wallpaper
"Pine Groves of Miho in Suruga" (1858) from Thirty-Six Views of Mount Fuji, the series Hiroshige made at the very end of his life, cropped to 9:16 from the Cleveland Museum of Art's impression. The pines of Miho in front, the blue sea dotted with sailboats in the middle, and snow-capped Fuji against a pale sky above. The original is a vertical sheet, so the crop keeps the composition almost intact; the sea is deepest blue in front and fades to white haze in the distance.
On the home screen
The middle band of sea is quiet, so icons there still leave Fuji above and the pines below visible.
On the lock screen
The top is bright pale sky and white Fuji, so a white clock is harder to read.
Colors and mood
Sea blue and pale sky blue with the white of Fuji, plus the green and brown of the pines.
